Summary: An international custom machine builder is looking for a Mechanical Designer to build out their Canadian Engineering team. If you are looking for your next challenge this could be the role for you!
What you will be doing:
- Working with Engineering team on designs and delivery of custom precision component projects for customers.
- Detailed design work using CAD and Solidworks.
- Research and Development on new products and assisting with new product launches.
- Mentor and develop junior designers or drafters within the engineering team.
- Update and create technical specifications for custom product lines as required by customers.
- Work individually running projects and as part of a project team to complete programs.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology
- Strong design background using CAD and Solidworks design packages.
- PMP or project management background is an asset.
- Strong communication skills verbal and written.
- Ability to work within cross functional teams.
